Doing acrobatics is another fantastic way to get a workout in without feeling strain or boredom. No longer just for children, you can choose from a slew of varieties like arial workouts or stay closer to the ground with floor exercises like handstands. Though not much of a cardio exercise, acrobatics will make you stronger before you know it.
This one is more exclusive to the ladies, though the gents are of course welcome to join. Mermaid workouts have been coming more and more into style over the last couple of years. It sounds strange, but hear us out. The idea is that you wear a mermaid tail and hit the swimming pool. The core strength required to propel yourself across the pool alongside the swimming motions will give you a great balance of cardio and strength training. Dancing, even if you aren’t especially coordinated, is a wonderful way to have fun and get in shape at the same time. From joining a hip hop class to couples’ dancing to choosing a dance video on YouTube, there are a ton of options to choose from. You can even say forget the structure and dance around your living room for half an hour each day for a good time. Slow dancing with your partner doesn’t count!
