What The Badass Women of NCIS Are Doing Today

While the setting and dramatic plot is a huge part of the success surrounding NCIS, it’s not the only reason people watch it every week. Fans enjoy tuning in to every episode and following the interesting characters of the show. In particular, there has been a wide range of strong female stars over the years. With actresses such as Cote de Pablo, Pauley Perrette, and Emily Wickersham- there’s no wonder the show is so successful. Let’s take a look at the female stars of NCIS. Where are they now? Pauley Perrette Then

Pauley Perrette is the actress who played the forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on NCIS. The actress has appeared in both NCIS: Los Angeles as well as NCIS: New Orleans. Her character was a fan favorite and played an important role on the show.

Abby is known for having all kinds of styles including pigtails, black and white outfits and choker necklaces. This is her usual get up, but you can see her in all types of different clothes throughout the series. You can definitely see the styles mature throughout the years.

Pauley Perrette Now

The star has announced recently that she will be leaving the show after fifteen years. She has publicly stated on Twitter, “…it was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years.

She further stated the following, “All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration…I love her as much as you do.” Recently Perrette has appeared in the television miniseries When We Rise. Her character is one that surely be missed.

Stephanie Mello Then

On NCIS, Cynthia Sumner is played by actress Stephanie Mello. Cynthia started out as a personal assistant who worked closely with various other characters on the show. She was looking like she would be one of the long-term main characters what she started.

However, it wasn’t long before she captured our attention for her impressive sense of style and constant bickering with Leroy Gibbs, the supervisory special agent for NCIS. This made her more than just a personal assistant in the show.

Stephanie Mello Now

While Stephanie left NCIS about 15 years ago, fans still recognize her for her memorable natural beauty and timeless curly hair. Since NCIS, she has acted in various shows including Big Time Rush. Her career looked like it was meant for stardom.

However, good things don’t last forever and now most of her acting is actually for commercials. In fact, throughout her career, she has appeared in over 100 television commercials! If you don’t recognize her from NCIS, it might be from one of her commercials.

Emily Wickersham Then

In 2013, after Cote de Pablo left NCIS the world was in a state of shock and so was the show. They needed a replacement and they got Wickersham was cast as Eleanor Bishop, an NSA Analyst. Later she became a series regular as she was promoted on the show to NCIS Probationary Agent.

Throughout the show, her character went through various changes, including a divorce. Eleanor’s no-nonsense look and professionalism never failed to impress viewers. We’re all guessing that she studied pretty hard for this role.

Emily Wickersham Now

Wickersham is a regular on NCIS for six years already. Besides television, she has also done several roles in film including Sarah Hayes in Glitch and Molly Conway in Gone. While she is quite young, her age is not stopping her from blooming into a successful actress.

However, she still mainly acts on NCIS. In fact, she has appeared in 112 episodes of the show, including an episode in the New Orleans spinoff. For being on the show for such a short time, she is quickly becoming a favorite amidst the viewers.

Liza Lapira Then

Actress Liza Lapira plays Michelle Lee on NCIS. Michelle starts out on the show as an NCIS Special Agent and a legal assistant. However, later on, fans find out that she is actually a spy leaking highly sensitive information to an unknown source.

This discovery eventually gets her in serious trouble and of course ends her career. Lapira was perfect for the role, she definitely rocked the mysterious look. She definitely was featured on some of the greatest episodes of the show.

Liza Lapira Now

Leaving NCIS didn’t mean the end of her career. After appearing on NCIS, Liza didn’t waste any time in getting as much work as she could muster up. Since then she has appeared on various television shows including Dollhouse, Traffic Light, Dexter and Battle Creek. 

In addition to television, she has also had several roles in popular films including Crazy Stupid Love and Fast & Furious. Nowadays she plays Eve on the comedy series 9JKL. We can’t but wonder what is next for this growing star.

Nina Foch Then

Now here is a memorable actress. Nina Foch was probably best known for her roles in 1950s films such as An American In Paris and Executive Suite. Foch has appeared on NCIS several times as Ducky Mallard’s mother, Victoria Mallard.

However, her character ends up developing Alzheimer’s disease. In the series, her son Ducky hides the fact that she has died but Abby ends up finding out. This was certainly a huge blow to all the fans of the show. She was such a beloved character.

Nina Foch Now

Unfortunately, Foch has passed away in 2008 at age 84. Her role on NCIS was one of her last roles. During those years she also had roles in various other television series including Just Shoot Me, and Dharma & GregBesides acting, Foch also liked to teach.

In fact, she was a faculty member at both the American Film Institute and at the University of South California for over 40 years. She is certainly an actress that will remain to be loved and remembered. She was a person who truly lived the life of an actress.

Tamara Taylor Then

Tamara Taylor is well known for her role as Dr. Camille Saroyan in the crime drama Bones. While she started out as a guest star on Bones, she ended up being a recurring character and appearing in over 200 episodes. That is impressive for anyone.

However, the actress has also appeared on two episodes of NCIS as Cassie Yates. While she wasn’t on the show for long, she did make a lasting impression due to her business-like look and great acting skills. The storyline surrounding her was unforgettable.

Tamara Taylor Now

Tamara Taylor easily shot to stardom and was soon on every channel you flipped. Besides making a guest appearance on NCIS, she has made guest appearances in several other popular shows including Lost, CSI: Miami, and Dawson’s Creek. 

She has acted in various films as well including August Falls, Senseless and the short film Sunday. Currently, she stars as Oumou Prescott in a new Netflix series called Altered Carbon. She as popular today as she has ever been.

Jessica Steen Then

Only those fans who have followed NCIS since the very beginning will recognize Jessica’s NCIS appearance as Paula Cassidy. Cassidy was an NCIS Special Agent who was assigned to be an interrogator at Guantanamo Bay.

Afterward, she was reassigned to the Pentagon. There she led her own team but ended up dying during her duty. When she passed away the mass of NCIS fans were left in a state of shock. We all loved her wit and charms. She wasn’t easily replacable.

Jessica Steen Now

So far Steen has had a successful acting career that surpasses the careers of most television actors in the business. She played a variety of roles in shows such as the soap opera Loving, Flashpoint, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. 

Nowadays she is working on filming her tenth season of the show Heartland. Steen is also an environmentalist so when she’s not acting she’s busy supporting various organizations including the World Society for the Protection of Animals.

Maria Bello Then

Before NCIS, Bello has appeared in various films and television series including the spy show Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the medical drama ER. She was climbing the ladder to success and nothing was going to soon stop her. Before she even knew it, she hit it big.

While NCIS has been running since 2003, Maria Bello only joined the cast recently during the latest season. Maria plays Jack Sloane, a forensic psychologist and a member of the major case response team. She is already counted amongst the main cast members.

Maria Bello Now

Similar to many other Hollywood stars, Maria Bello has had a wide range of roles over the years. The actress worked her way up from the bottom to the top. She starred in big films such as A History of Violence, Prisoners, and Secret Window. 

Throughout her career, she has played a variety of different women and changed her look accordingly. Currently, Bello has three parts in upcoming films. She is doing a good job of making a name for herself in Hollywood.

Rena Sofer Then

Rena Sofer got her big break back in 1995 when she appeared in the soap opera General Hospital and got a Daytime Emmy Award for her role. She was a major favorite amongst the masses ever since. People can’t get enough of this star.

Since her debut role, she has appeared in a variety of TV shows. On NCIS she appeared in season seven as Margaret Allison Hart; a cold-blooded attorney with a no-nonsense attitude. This was a role that really got the audience boiling with anger.

Rena Sofer Now

Of course, Sofer is nothing like her cold and revengeful character on NCIS in real life. Since appearing on the show, she has had a variety of roles. She returned to the soap opera genre with the show The Bold and the Beautiful as character Quinn Fuller.

In fact, she has appeared in about 500 episodes of the series. She also starred in films such as Another Man’s Wife and A Stranger Among Us. We’re certain that this actress still has a few major surprises that she’s going to spring out on us.

Cote de Pablo Then

Cote de Pablo made her first big impact in the acting world by playing Ziva David, a former Israeli soldier who turned into a special agent. On the show, Ziva took over after Special Agent Caitlin Todd was murdered. Caitlin was easy to forget once Ziva took over.

Years later we learn that in fact her half-brother, Ari Haswari, is the one who committed the crime. This resulted in a huge drama. Ziva ends up returning to Israel. Later on, its revealed that she has died in a mortar attack. The fans were extremely saddened by this.

Cote de Pablo Now

Nowadays, Cote de Pablo has stated that she is looking for her next big out-of-the-box role. Thing are going a bit slower then we all hoped. However, in the meanwhile, she has acted in the miniseries The Dovekeepers and in the movie The 33. 

She has also starred in the TV movie Prototype. The star broke up with her long-term boyfriend Diego Serrano and since then hasn’t been in a relationship publicly. Who knows what is next for this star? Perhaps we’ll see her in another crime drama.

Lauren Holly Then

Lauren Holly has always been one to make a stir when on the silver screen. Before getting a main role on NCIS, Holly guest starred in a variety of television shows including All My Children back in the 1980s and CSI: Miami in the early 2000s.

On the show, she played NCIS Director Jenny Shepard- a leader who was looked up by many characters. However, the NCIS director ended up being killed by a hitman during season five of the show. This broke everyone’s heart.

Lauren Holly Now

Lauren Holly has been on our screens for several years now. She appeared in various films including Dumb and Dumber and What Women Want. No doubt, her most memorable role was from the comedy classic mentioned above.

She has also done several TV shows as well such as Motive. While she hasn’t had many main roles since NCIS, she does have 94 credits to her name. And recently she starred in the movie The Blackcoat’s Daughter.

Jennifer Esposito Then

You may recognize Jennifer Esposito as Alexandra Quinn. Esposito played the role of the NCIS special agent for one season during NCIS. The agent was known for reporting to Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

While fans liked her character, it didn’t last too long. Esposito had to leave the show in order to take care of her aging mother and so her character was written out. It seemed like a big tease for us watching at home. No doubt, she would have been a huge character.

Jennifer Esposito Now

After playing Alexandra Quinn on NCIS, Jennifer continued to further her career. We can almost guarantee that she will have a successful career because she is a very hard worker. While on NCIS, she also appeared on the TV show The Affair. 

And recently she filmed a role for a crime thriller called Speed Kills which also features John Travolta, Tom Sizemore, and Matthew Modine. In 2014, the star married British model Louis Dowler. However, in 2016 the two got divorced.

Scottie Thompson Then

Scottie Thompson appeared on NCIS as Dr. Jeanne Benoit. Initially, it was thought that she is connected to the team only because she is Special Agent Tony DiNozzo’s girlfriend. However, later on, we find out that she is also Rene Benoit’s daughter.

In 2008, Jeanne and Tony break up and so actress Scottie had to leave the show. However, since then she has made a few additional appearances on the show. You can’t write off a character as great as her that easy.

Scottie Thompson Now

After appearing on NCIS, Scottie has kept busy. Since then she has appeared in various films such as Before I Wake, Dead on Arrival, and Broken Ghost. On television, she has had a recurring role on the show 12 Monkeys.

And soon, she will be on our screens as Cassiel in the film Limbo, which is set to be released in 2019. Guess we can expect to see more of her in the future! One can definitely say that she is an actress who has a very powerful presence.

Millie Bobby Brown Then

While there weren’t too many child actors on NCIS, Millie Bobby Brown was one of them. On the show, she played the daughter of a murdered woman from an episode which aired in 2014 called Parental Guidance Suggested. 

During the episode, Gibbs interviews her and tries to understand the identity of whoever murdered her mother. At first he didn’t seem to get very far, but eventually he broke through the walls and barriers she put up and the truth came out.

Millie Bobby Brown Now

When Millie Bobby Brown appeared on NCIS, she was still an unknown actress. However, afterward, she was casted in the Netflix series Stranger Things and became more well known. That was a truly a role tbhat propelled her into stardom.

Nowadays she is working on the third season of the show. However, she is also trying her luck in the film industry. She took part in the film Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is set to be released in 2019. This is definitely the start of a successful career.

Juliette Angelo Then

Nobody can dare forget this face. On NCIS, Juliette Angelo appeared several times as Emily Fornell. Her character was the daughter of former FBI Agent Tobias Fornell and his ex-wife Diane Sterling. Her first appearance on the show was in 2013.

However, since then she has appeared in four additional episodes in 2015 and 2016. Since then she hasn’t been on the show, but who knows maybe she will make an appearance again soon. Just when you think that she’s gone, this girl comes back around.

Juliette Angelo Now

Angelo started out her career on Broadway with How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Since then, she has had several supporting roles on television with shows such as The Haunted Hathaways, Malibu CountryMad Men and NCIS of course. 

Recently she was cast as Geneva in the television comedy-drama Shameless and also starred in the sitcom Speechless. It’s amazing to see an actress start off in such a small role and then suddenly bloom into something great.

Margo Harshman Then

This was perhaps a woman that was always meant for some kind of stardom. When actress Margo Harshman was just eight years old, she would take part in beauty pageants and often times even take home the gold. Afterward, she moved on to acting.

In 1997 she had her breakthrough role with the comedy The Elf Who Didn’t Believe and began appearing on television series such as Even Stevens. In 2013, Harshman was cast in NCIS as young Delilah Fielding. The character was an immediate hit.

Margo Harshman Now

This is certainly an actress that has taken off in the recent years. It seems as if joining NCIS in 2013 was only the beginning for her. In recent years, Margo Harshman has taken up a wide range of roles. One can’t help but fund her face extremely familiar.

Her latest roles include different genres such as the horror movie Sorority Row, the comedy College Road Trip, and the sitcom The Big Bang Theory where she plays Sheldon Cooper’s assistant, Alex. This woman is going to bes something.

Weronika Rosati Then

Weronika Rosati began her career in Polish soap operas sometime ago. Later on, she shifted to the film world when she played Dzemma in the film Pitbull. This was just the beginning for her. She was going to go completely hollywood.

On NCIS she appeared in one episode in the tenth season called Berlin. There she played Ziva and Tali David’s mother. The star is also a member of the European Film Academy. We know that we’ll be seeing her for many years to come.

Weronika Rosati Now

The star has kept busy since her guest appearance on NCIS. In 2013 she was nominated as best actress at the Polish Film Awards for starring in Oblawa. She has also appeared on True Detective, The Detour, and USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. 

You can also expect to see more of her in the future as she has two films currently in post-production: Max & Me and Music, War and Love. Whoever she plays on screen, she is always one of the most memorable characters on the show.

Zoe McLellan Then

Zoe McLellan has had roles in several shows including Royal Pains, The Mentalist, and The Whole Truth. They were good shows, but they didn’t exactly make her one of those stand out characters that would pull on our heartstrings.

In 2000, she also appeared on the big screen for the first time with the fantasy film Dungeons & Dragons. On NCIS you may recognize her as special agent Meredith Brody. She also had a lead role in the spin-off NCIS: New Orleans. 

Zoe McLellan Now

In 2016, it was stated to the heartbreak of fans, that she won’t star in another season of the spin-off NCIS: New Orleans. Currently, McLellan is a regular on political drama series Designated Survivor. We’re sure that takes up most of her time.

There she plays a White House Counsel- Kendra Daynes. The star got married in 2014 to actor J.P Gillian. However, the two ended up getting divorced a few years later. With the extra free time she was able to focus more on her career.

Susanna Thompson Then

You may recognize Susanna Tompson from Star Trek, where she has played four different characters. One role which she is known for is Borg Queen in Star Trek: Voyager. With that role, she had an impact that touched the fans significantly.

Besides Star Trek, she has done other films as well including the sports comedy Little Giants and the comedy Dragonfly. On NCIS she played Lieutenant Colonel Hollis Mann. She has a found the bulk of her success on television.

Susanna Thompson Now

Nowadays Thompson is no longer a lieutenant on NCIS. Her career has actually managed to get better. Recently the star appeared in the CW series Arrow as Moria Queen. You may have also seen her on the show Kings as Queen Rose Benjamin. 

However, currently she plays Carolyn Preston (Lucy’s mother) on the drama show Timeless. Today the star is married to a University of San Diego professor, Martin Katz. This lady has had quite the impressive career to look back on.

Alicia Coppola Then

Talk about an unconventional way of becoming a star in Hollywood. Alicia first appeared on our screens on the MTV game show Remote Control. Rarely does being on a game show propel someone into fame, but it worked for Alicia.

Later on, she starred in the soap Another World as Lorna Devon, the long-lost daughter of Felicia. On NCIS the star played  Lieutenant Commander Faith Coleman. She was also in the spin-off show NCIS: Los Angeles as FBI agent Lisa Rand.

Alicia Coppola Now

Alicia has grown up before our eyes. Today she is married to actor Anthony Michael Jones whom you may recognize as Father Coates from General Hospital. The two had three kids together. After NCIS, the star has continued to act.

She returned to her soap opera roots by appearing in the show The Young and the Restless. She definitely made a lasting impact on the showYou may have also seen her as Dr. Tammy Brunner on a recent episode of the drama series Designated Survivor.
